                                               The Trip To See Santa

Yesterday my step mom, my little brother, Ava, and myself went and seen Santa for Ava's first time. My mom’s is a photographer so she was taking pictures  of children and Santa’s at a place down town, and told me to bring Ava. My little brother is 8 years old and is afraid of Santa. He has never sat on Santa’s lap ever. On the way to the place my step mom asked Aiden if he was going to sit on Santa’s lap, and he said heck no. We get to the store and Ava is all dressed up for her pictures and I put her right on Santa’s lap. She is a very outgoing baby and likes everybody so I wasn’t worried about her crying or anything. She sat on him and looked at his beard. She started pulling on it, and wouldn’t stop. She laughed while she was pulling on it, so Santa gave her his Christmas bells to hang on too, to take a picture with so she would leave him alone. I though she was going to pull Santa’s beard right off, thank god she didn’t because there was a lot of other kids there that would have been upset. After Aiden seen Ava liking Santa and sitting on his lap, Aiden decided to go right up there and take a picture with Ava. We were all really surprised, but he said he wanted to there for Ava just in case she didn’t like him. What a good Uncle he was. After Aiden sat down they got their pictures taken, and I had to get Ava off of Santa before she started messing with him again but Aiden stayed on Santa’s lap. My brother is a really being sports nut, so he knows everything about football and everything. While Aiden was on Santa’s lap he started talking about football and Santa’s was a Lions fan too, so they talked about football together and I think Aiden is now not afraid anymore, because he knows that Santa is a lions fan and Santa told Aiden he will get him some lions stuff for Christmas if he’s good. So hopefully next year Ava isn’t a bad girl, and pulls his beard anymore, and hopefully Aiden Starts liking Santa for the next years to come.

                                  Growing Girl <3

Ava is now crawling around. She learned how to crawl and she is everywhere now. She quickly learned to crawl, and at the beginning she was kind of slow at it. She would cry while she was crawling I think just because she didn’t know what she was doing and it was scary for her. Now a month and a half later she is now crawling as fast as I walk. She is into everything. Along with her crawling skills advancing, she pulls herself up on everything. She will crawl really fast to something pull herself up and stand there and look around. She is starting to let go of things and balance but she still needs some work because she falls shortly after. When she isn’t paying attention she will let go and balance for a long time and then she realizes shes not hanging on anymore so she lets go. Its really funny that she is getting to learn all types of new things. She says new words like daddy, Mama, the “Na” sound, and she claps her hands and dances now. She started out saying the “da” sound and now she says “dadada”, and then started the “na” sound and then quickly learned “mamama”. I don’t know why babys always say “da” first, some people say its easier to say then the “m” sound. Ava is growing so fast. Watching her just start to learn to crawl to now crawling everywhere to making noises and now saying words. Ava also eats “big people” food. She likes French fries, and bread sticks. We went and got pizza yesterday and Ava ate three breadstick herself and they were big. Lol she kept grabbing them. She doesn’t really like baby food anymore because she gets to taste other food now. Ava is starting to get her own personality. It’s so funny watching her do new things and watching how she reacts to things. She learned to fake cry the other day. I’m thinking it has something to do with my mom babying her to be funny. But now whenever she gets hurt or she wants something she will close her eyes and squint and act like she’s crying and then laugh at herself when we say “awe, poor baby” or something in the lines of that.

Sick, Sick, and more Sick. :/

My daughter has had a really bad cough and cold for about a month and a half now. I kept going into the doctors and telling them the same thing. She has a runny nose she coughs all the time and doesn’t sleep because of it. She Has a wheezing sound when she breathes. At first she got on an anti biotic. Then she got on a breathing treatment. Well today after almost two months of not getting better I took her into the E.R. I was there for five hours, go figure. Ava got chest E-rays and we finally found out that she has bronchitis. I haven’t been feeling that great either the whole time shes been sick, so I asked if I could have it too. After they told me what she had, and they said it was a good possibility that I could have it too. After the five ½ hours at the hospital they checked me too. Guess who also has bronchitis?!? This girl. Me and my daughter both have this sickness. Its horrible. I can only imagine how much it sucks for her because she coughs more then me. It makes you feel drained, and sick and tired and makes your whole body hurt, along with your lungs feeling like their on fire. All of this happened today, while I’m trying to do homework. It’s so hard to get all this homework done with a sick baby, and yourself feeling like crap too.

I never really noticed how much people who run day cares make. I finally starting realizing this when I started taking Ava to day care. I pay a lot of money for her to go to day care for two days a week all day long. She likes going to day care though, and the one I go to is really good. I figure Ava will learn to get along with other kids and get use to being in day care, because she will be going for a long time. The lady I take Ava to her name is Karen, and she has around 2-4 kids every day, and she charges $3.50 an hour. You can only imagine how much she makes just from babysitting. She starts around 830 in the morning and then all the kids leave before 6. That’s not a lot of time really, and she makes a lot of money. It could be a really good way to make an income if you like kids. The only things about having a day care is if you want to be certified by the state you have to make sure you have your house safe and up to date with baby gates and everything. If you can do that, then you could run a daycare. Some day cares are really good, like the ones through the schools. That kind of day care actually teaches kids things and helps them learns, which is really cool. So if you want to make good money and are really good with children, then you should open a daycare.

I think it’s funny that my daughter figured out how amazing big people food is. She didn’t really like baby food to much, so I started giving her big people food and she loves it. A couple days ago I gave her a French fry and oh my goodness, she was sucking on it and loved it. Her eyes got really big and she was in love, you could tell. She also like Ice cream, and peanut butter. Ava will now eat anything u give her. It’s so funny because every time she will just make a weird face, but she will eat it. It’s like she doesn’t know what to think of all this stuff but loves it because it’s not baby food. She also like noodles. Any kind she likes noodles with alfrado sauce or noodles with marinara sauce. Lol it’s so funny. What’s really surprising is she likes lemons. She makes a weird face of course but really likes them, she tries to reach out and get more when I take it away. Along with a new taste for food, my big girl is now crawling. She crawls everywhere and anywhere. She’s a maniac. One minute she is in the living room I leave for a quick second and she’s in the kitchen. She getting fast at it too. I put her in her crib while I was cleaning her room and I look over and she pulled herself up and was bouncing on her legs just standing there watching me. She is getting so big, I love it. She says Da-da-da, and now she’s starting to say the MMMMM- sound. Which is super exciting to me, because of course I want her to say the best word of all ….. Ma-ma-ma! The older she gets the longer her hair gets too. Her hair stands straight up right now and as the weeks go by its starting to get longer and I can see it progressing and starting to stand down a little. It still stick up and not as bad. By the way.. What should Ava be for Holloween Anyone.. any ideas?!?

On Thursday October 10th my daughter Ava officially crawled. I knew it was coming but I didn’t think it was going to be this soon. On that day right before her nap she could crawl, she still would rock back n forth and really couldn’t get to a place. Ava took a three hour nap, and when she woke up I put her on the floor like usual and she just took off. I was so shocked and surprised because three hours prior to this she couldn’t do it. That three hour nap must have gave her whole bunch of energy because she is now on the go. She went from not being able to crawl to crawling super-fast. It is crazy how quick they can do things and learn things. In a matter of a couple hours my daughter learned officially how to crawl. It was such a bitter sweet moment. I cried! Lol. I was so happy and shocked I got my phone out and recorded her. The first couple times she did it she would cry while crawling. Now (which is the 2-3rd day) She doesn’t cry doesn’t wine, just goes. I sat her down and ran into my room to grab a sweater and she was half way to the kitchen. Gosh I am in trouble now. Baby gates are going up today. It’s so sad my baby is growing up and beginning to be a big girl. Pretty soon she will be pulling herself up on things and then beginning to walk. What I found out too now that she can crawl is that she likes everything that’s not her toys. Such as, computer cords, random stuff on the floor, light sockets, and mostly paper. She loves missing with newspapers, magazines, anything paper. She is going to have such a fun time unwrapping all her presents when its Christmas time. I am so excited and can’t wait to see what she will do next.

Baby Food & Prices

Why is my daughter so picky? Ava had been able to eat baby food for three months now, and she has been able to eat adult food for ½ month. Ava doesn’t like eating anything. I’ve tried baby sweet potatoes, baby green beans, pears, peaches, bananas, any kind of baby food. She doesn’t like any of it, so always spits it out and makes funny faces. At first I thought that was ok because she was getting use to it. No! She still hates it and doesn’t want any part of eating baby food. I have been trying to give her adult food now, such as mash potatoes, a little piece of noodle, and any kind of liquid substance. The only thing I found out is that Ava likes ice cream. Of course she likes ice cream mostly everyone likes ice cream. She doesn’t like anything besides ice cream, and she can’t live on ice cream. Not only is ice cream really bad for you, she needs healthy food, ice cream is not healthy food. Hopefully the older she gets she will start liking different foods because as of right now all she like is her bottle and no kinds of foods. Ava is in the right percentile and height and everything for her age so it’s not affecting her right now, but soon I will have to start shoving stuff in her mouth until she likes it (which I try to do now).
Baby food, is cheap but when you go through a lot every day because your child wastes it all it gets expensive. I knew having Ava was going to be expensive, especially since I love dressing her up and buying a lot of clothes and shoes and head bands for her but I didn’t realize really how much money she is.  I love it and I am still going to buy her everything unnecessary she “needs”. Everything is expensive for babies, from food to clothes to diapers. I don’t know how they can price baby clothes at $20 for just an outfit. $2 for two jars of baby food.  Its ridicules! Having a baby, I guess you have to pay the price literally.
