Sleepless Baby

Ava decided last week that she didn’t want to sleep in her crib anymore. Every time she is getting tired I give her bottle and rock her to sleep and it always works, then I out her in her crib. The past week I will rock her and go to put her in her crib and she wakes up crying, of course. So I had to start rocking her to sleep and then putting her in my bed to go to sleep. This is annoying in so many ways by the way. For how little Ava is she thinks she needs to take up the whole bed and lay the opposite way your suppose too. I don’t get much sleep between her feet in my face and her rolling around so much. I needed to find a way to get her sleep in her crib again. I went online and the internet said to find her a “security” toy or blanket or something that will comfort her. It also said I should lay with her toy or her sheets so it has my scent. Baby’s have a strong scenes of smell so the moms scent comforts them also. I haven’t tried these tips yet because I just found them yesterday. Tonight I’m going to sleep with one of Ava’s animals so It smells like me and let her sleep with it tomorrow to see if it helps with her sleeping in her crib better. I hope it works because going to school and working everyday is really tough especially when my baby doesn’t let me sleep at night.

I think another reason why Ava isn’t sleep in her crib is because she’s teething really badly. I can’t imagine how bad it must be to get all your teeth in. My grandma told me one time she got a tooth in when she was old and it hurt really bad and she cried, so for babies to go through it I understand why they are so crabby. I feel so bad for them. I try to help Ava by giving her Tylenol when needed at night and giving her teething toys. She likes the little rings that you put in the freezer. Every time I give her a cold teething toy, her eyes get really big and she drools everywhere. Between Ava teething and being spoiled and not wanting to sleep in her crib I feel like I’m going to have a hard time getting her in her crib asleep. Any ideas would be nice as well as new tips :)
